THE VISION
A Space to Stay Curious.
We believe the best ideas grow where people, disciplines, and experiences intersect.
Elodea is our vision for a new kind of gathering place—one where learning, meaningful work, scientific discovery, and community naturally come together.
More than a workspace. More than a science studio. More than a coffee shop. A place designed to inspire curiosity, encourage connection, and make room for what comes next.
WHY WE ARE BUILDING ELODEA
More than a space. A new way to experience learning and connection. We believe the environments we spend time in can shape how we think, what we create, and who we become. Too often, the spaces where we work, learn, and explore are separated. Elodea brings them together. We're creating an environment that supports meaningful work, encourages intellectual curiosity, and makes scientific discovery part of everyday life. Whether you're pursuing an ambitious idea, preparing for your next exam, or simply looking for a place to belong, we want Elodea to offer room for what's next.
DESIGNED FOR CONNECTION
Different people. Shared possibilities.Imagine a student finding confidence in a difficult subject. An entrepreneur developing their next idea. A young scientist discovering a new passion. Two neighbors connecting over coffee. Our vision is to create an environment where these experiences coexist, where collaboration happens naturally, and where a community grows through shared curiosity.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Science isn't just a subject. It's a way of seeing the world.Curiosity is at the heart of everything we envision. We believe science should be experienced, not simply studied. That exploration should be encouraged at every age. And that opportunities to ask questions, investigate ideas, and make discoveries should extend far beyond traditional classrooms. Through engaging learning experiences, accessible research opportunities, and community-centered programming, Elodea aims to make scientific exploration a natural part of everyday life.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
Something is growing in Columbus.Elodea is currently in development, with a vision to bring a new kind of science-centered community destination to Columbus, Ohio. As we work toward bringing this concept to life, we're connecting with future members, educators, students, entrepreneurs, community organizations, and partners who share our enthusiasm for what's possible.
