At Elodea, we're creating a place where curiosity extends beyond textbooks and traditional classrooms. Through hands-on experiments, guided investigations, and opportunities for independent research, we envision an environment where learners of all ages can engage directly with the world of science.

Whether it's a young student witnessing a biological process for the first time, a high school researcher developing an original experiment, or an adult rediscovering the excitement of scientific discovery, Elodea is designed to make science approachable, engaging, and meaningful.

Our envisioned learning studio will bring together a variety of science-centered experiences designed to encourage experimentation, creativity, and discovery.

Guided Science Experiences

Interactive, instructor-led workshops that introduce middle school students to scientific concepts through memorable, hands-on activities. From observing living systems and exploring chemical reactions to building experiments and following biological transformations, each experience will encourage curiosity and active participation. Programs will include both standalone workshops and multi-week experiences that allow students to return and watch their projects develop.

High School Research Studio

An opportunity for high school students to explore the process of scientific research beyond a traditional classroom assignment. Through structured research tracks, participants will develop their own questions, design investigations, collect and interpret data, and communicate their findings with guidance from experienced mentors. The goal is to develop scientific confidence, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of how discoveries are made.

Adult Science Workshops

Curiosity doesn't end with graduation. Elodea will offer approachable, hands-on science experiences for adults who want to explore something new, revisit a favorite subject, or simply enjoy an engaging evening of discovery. No scientific background required—just an interest in learning.

Private & Community Experiences

Science can also bring people together. We envision interactive experiences for families, community organizations, school groups, and private gatherings, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional group activities.
